Each year, Vision Maker Media awards over $500,000 in production contracts to independent producers and public television stations to produce programming by and about Native Americans for use by PBS stations. The imagineNATIVE Indigenous Screenwriting Intensive is entering its second year!

Funding is available for up to 70 scholarships to attend the 2019 International Conference of Indigenous Archives, Libraries, and Museums in Temecula, CA. Scholarships may cover registration, lodging, travel stipend and ground transportation to/from the airport.

To provide professional development training opportunities for people engaged in sustaining and advancing indigenous culture, the Institute of Museum and Library Services is providing scholarship funding for eligible applicants to attend the conference.

The primary responsibilities of the Program Manager are to be the primary liaison to independent filmmakers, overseeing PIC’s application processes for funding initiatives and management of projects in the funded production pipeline.

This position will assist in organizing, implementing and supporting annual giving/membership (with strong emphasis on fundraising support, donor development, and data analysis) along with cultivation and major giving event activities.

The Short Documentaries program supports documentary films up to 30 minutes that engage audiences with humanities ideas in appealing ways. The program aims to extend the humanities to new audiences through the medium of short documentary films. Films must be grounded in humanities scholarship.

Open Call gives independent producers up to $350,000 to complete production for a standalone broadcast length documentary to air on public television.

Position is responsible for shooting single camera video productions, editing, and operating studio and remote television cameras.
