Supporting the Production of Native Content

Each year, Vision Maker Media awards over $500,000 in production contracts to independent producers and public television stations to produce programming by and about Native Americans for use by PBS stations. There are many opportunities for filmmakers to succeed. In an effort to support filmmakers, Vision Maker Media collects and provides a number of available opportunities for funding, training, jobs, internships, festival deadlines and more.

This is a one-year paid fellowship that offers activist storytellers from communities of color and/or economically marginalized communities an opportunity to develop skills in visual storytelling, outreach strategies, and digital communications through on-the-job training and work experience.

North American Indigenous women elders working to heal, strengthen and restore the balance of Indigenous communities are invited to apply. The Spirit Aligned Fellowship Award application will remain open until 11:59 pm EST on Monday, October 15, 2018.
