Mvskoke (Creek)

Joy Harjo (Mvskoke) is an award winning musician, poet, writer, and playwright.  A saxophone player, Harjo performs solo, as a duo and with her group The Arrow Dynamics band. 

Her performances have taken her around the world.  In 2009 she won the Native American Music Award for Best female Artist of the year for her Album Winding Through the Milky Way.

My House is the Red Earth

Vision Maker Media says goodbye to Blue Tarpalechee (Muscogee-Creek), who has been a project coordinator with Vision Maker Media since 2011. In this role, he coordinated educational resources for the organization and served as associate producer for the highly anticipated upcoming series "Growing Native," hosted by Chris Eyre.

For twenty-five years, Red Earth has been committed to promoting Native Arts and Culture. In that time, Native art has seen amazing growth and change.

What does the future hold for us? Who can we turn to for guidance?
