Walt Pourier

Walt is Oglala Lakota and created the logo for Urban Rez. He is Creative Director, owner of Nakota Designs Advertising Designs and Graphics. Executive Director of the Stronghold Society nonprofit dedicated to instilling hope and supporting youth movements through Live Life Call To Action Campaigns. "Although I am making a life in the big city, my roots remain close to my home, my tribe. I love my culture and I am deeply involved on a personal level with our people, our songs and our ceremonies. It is an honor to be a part of the creative direction behind the RMPBS Urban Rez documentary. I am a product of the Relocation Act, and the sacrifices my parents made for me, made me the man, the father I am today... successful and proud of my American Indian heritage.
