Kate (Katia) Kupidonova

Kate (Katia) is a Fulbright student from Russia who is getting her master's degree in English and ethnic studies at UNL. She graduated from Kazan Federal University with a degree in English in 2014. The focus of her work was on exploration of Native American literature and the issues of identity and belonging. At UNL she concentrates on Native women writers of the Americas. Kate is interested in learning as much as possible about Native cultures and various aspects of tribes’ survival and heritage preservation. At Vision Maker Media, Kate wants to acquire more knowledge about the film industry and digital storytelling. She is doing research and focusing on the Growing Native documentary series.
