Ellie Lee

Ellie is an award-winning director, writer & producer of animated, fiction & documentary films, which have screened at the Berlin Film Festival & over a hundred festivals worldwide. She was one of Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces of Independent Film. She is a five-time National Emmy Award nominee & won the 2009 Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for excellence in broadcast journalism. As a storyteller, her performances for The Moth have earned her inclusion on the “Audience Favorites” and “Best of the Moth” CD box sets. For 11 years, she served as a Board member of On The Rise, a non-profit supporting chronically homeless women in Cambridge, MA. She proudly serves on the Board of the non-profit Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship, is a 2013 Sundance Institute Screenwriters Intensive Fellow, and is currently at work on her new animated comedy web series, "Chinafornia."
